Die-Nasty Does VAUDEVILLE !

Canadian Comedy Award-winning Live Improvised Soap Opera returns October 21st for Season 29!

Vaudeville! Variety! Vendettas! Ventriloquism!

For our 29th season, Die-Nasty tap dances back in time to the days of the high-class vaudeville playhouse replete with spotlights, sequins and secrets!

It’s 1919 in New York City, and Vaudeville is all the rage, with variety acts of every description taking over the stage. Impish impresario Keaton Abbott (Jason Hardwick) is polishing the planks of the Ferguson Theater as his company of magicians, jugglers, singers, showgirls, stage-hands and circus animals put the finishing touches on their latest variety spectacle: ‘Hurley Burley: A comedic commotion turned uproar’.

But who will get top billing?  Who gets the best dressing room? Is the up-and-coming understudy ready to go on for the bitter booze-soaked star?  Plagued by controversy following the sudden departure of director Harold ‘four fingers’ Montrose, can they shed the shadows of the past,  banish the backstage backstabbing, fend off the newfangled fad for motion picture films, and put aside their personal problems long enough to put on a show?  Will Hurley Burley earn adulation and acclaim, or will audiences give it the hook?

Die-Nasty is improvised each Monday night by Matt Alden, Delia Barnett, Shannon Blanchet, Belinda Cornish, Tom Edwards, Vincent Forcier, Jesse Gervais, Kristi Hansen, Jason Hardwick,  Jeff Haslam, Mark Meer, Chantal Perron, Sheri Somerville and Stephanie Wolfe, with surprise guests throughout the season. Die-Nasty will be directed in 2019/2020 by Vincent Forcier, with a revolving roster of company members! The amazing Paul Morgan Donald leads his ten-finger orchestra. Brad ‘Five Arms’ Fischer gives his farewell performance as Die-Nasty’s beloved house technician! And Jim Cej lobs legumes as he liveblogs every punchline. Die-Nasty is produced by cigar-chomping impresario Nicole Thibault.
